Welcome to the Pentecostal Highway of Holiness's Youth Forum!
In Ecclesiastes 12:1, the Bible says, “Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, …” There is great value in young people! The world has such a pull on young people today with all of its glamour and glitter, but God still has a number of young men and women who will say as little Samuel in 1 Samuel 3:10, “ … Speak; for thy servant heareth.” In a time when the lamp of God had gone out in the temple, God brought up Samuel. God is looking to raise up young people who will hear the voice of God rather than popularity and all the latest styles. A lot of people say, “They are wimps for standing for truth,” but I say, “You are not wimps! You are more valuable than words can ever say!” You may say, “Bro. Kelly, I’m so young; God is not interested in me, I’m of no value.” Young people, May I tell you when Samuel anointed David king, he was the smallest, the youngest, and the one no one thought was ever going to be King. Nevertheless, when everyone else seen a shepherd boy, God saw a King! So, all your friends may see someone who may not be the fastest, tallest, most handsome, prettiest, the most popular, or most talented; but God sees value in your life! “I’m young Bro. Kelly.” So was Tiger Woods! He was three years old when he started playing golf, look at him now.
Mozart was three years old when he started playing the keyboard. At age 5, he began composing minutes and at 7 years old, he played for King Louis XV in England. At age 8, Mozart composed his first symphonies and at age 12, held his first opera! He composed over 600 works of music. Let’s take a look at Joash. In 2 Chronicles 24:1, he was 7 years old when he began to reign as king, and he did what was right in the sight of God! Can you imagine how God could use you, if you would fully commit your life to him? Josiah was 8 years old when he became king! “And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none” (Ezekiel 22:30). The world says, “You can’t” but God says, “You can!” The world says, “You’re worthless,” but God thinks you’re of great value and so do I!
